Salaries, Bonuses, and Penalties
Where and how is an employee’s salary specified?
In the Kavapp system, salary is set as an hourly rate and a percentage of sales. The salary is calculated based on the entire duration of an open work shift.
How to assign a salary to a specific employee?
Go to Kavapp Admin → “Basic information → Employees → Edit”. There, you can set the hourly rate and sales percentage.
How to set a bonus for a point of sale?
In the “Basic information → Points of sale → Financial settings” tab of Kavapp Admin, you can assign a general rate for all employees working at that point.
If a salary is set both in the employee’s profile and at the point simultaneously, the system will add these values together.
Example: the employee has an hourly rate of $15 with no percentage. The point has an additional $10/hour. As a result, the system will calculate $25 per hour for that shift at this point. Can I set a fixed salary per shift?
No, at this time, the system only supports two types of compensation: hourly rate and percentage of sales (drinks and other items).
The option for fixed shift-based payment and other compensation models will be added in the future. How to calculate and pay salary to an employee?
1. To calculate salary, go to “Financial operations → Salary calculation” in the personal account.
Select the desired period for calculation. The system will automatically calculate the payment amount, factoring in penalties, bonuses, and paid advances.
2. After the calculation, the amount can be assigned to the employee. Once assigned, the amount is considered paid and will not be included in future calculations.
3. If needed, you can issue advances under “Financial operations → Advances”.
For details on how to calculate an employee's salary, we have described in the Kavapp Admin setup instructions, paragraph 5.3How to issue penalties and bonuses to employees?
Penalties and bonuses are created in the personal account under “Financial operations → Penalties and bonuses”.
When creating them, you can: select the employee, specify the amount, and add a description (reason).
Penalties and bonuses are automatically included in salary calculations.
We have described in detail how to calculate penalties and bonuses for an employee in the Kavapp Admin setup instructions, paragraph 5.4
